Troop 187

For older youth (ages 10-18), Troop 187 meets every Monday evening. We are among the oldest and strongest scouting programs in the Northern Star Council. Boy Scouts of America granted Mayflower Church its first troop charter in 1929.

Troop 187 includes a "linked" boys troop and a girls troop to include all genders, all together (following YPT and safe scouting, including privacy and separate accommodations).

Scouts learn teamwork, self-discipline and leadership under the direction of a volunteer scoutmaster and assistant scoutmasters. The Mayflower troop has produced 115 Eagle Scouts!

Camping is the heart of Troop 187 scouting, and monthly campouts give youth a taste of the great outdoors in all seasons.

Mayflower’s troop owns and operates its own 120-acre facility, Camp St. Croix, using it for winter campouts, a two-week summer camp, and other scouting activities throughout the year. Parents play an essential role in the program.

Meeting times

Our regular meetings are held at Mayflower Church (near 35W & Diamond Lake) every Monday. We also schedule weekend campouts throughout the year, and of course, Summer Camp.
