Camp St. Croix Forestry - On going project
Many diseased oaks and old pines have been cut at camp. Some planting has occurred two years ago but more is needed. The Alumni Association is taking the lead on creating additional plans for re-planting. Anyone interested in working on this project please let us know.
Camp St. Croix Land Border Resolution
The land border resolution is being worked. Depositions are being taken from former scouts and even from the young boy who grew up on the farm that is now Camp St. Croix.

October 2011 Work Weekend
The work weekend has come and gone and a BIG thank you to the following Alumni members who answered the request for help from the Troop and spent last Saturday chipping brush, splitting logs, and grinding stumps at Camp St. Croix:
Al Douglass
John Probst
Jack Joubert
Chris Probst
Bill Schulze
Scott Lund
Seth Probst
Gabe Peterson
Matt Daves
The stumps around Sanford Lodge previously marked with tent poles and a couple stumps at the rifle range were successfully ground down. The brush piles at the top of the hill, around the staff latrine, south of the stone house, around the propane tank, and along the north end of staff campsites were chipped. And there is now a significant pile of split oak and pine awaiting St. Croix campers.
A lot of work was put into preparing for and conducting of the weekend and the weekend could not have been accomplished without the help of these Alumni. Their efforts will be seen by those who traveled to camp this past summer and experienced firsthand the amount of brush and trees around main camp that are no longer present.
Special thanks to Chris for picking up food and cooking, especially the smoked country style and spare ribs that the group had for dinner!!
